A Chinese’s ship that had sunken and was never recovered was found last week. Laying at the bottom of the sea near Bhitarkanika National Park the vessel seemed to have drifted with the current to its current location. The vessel which had gone missing earlier this year sunk off the east Sri Lankan coast was located near Orissa, India partly submerged in the water. With this discovery many questions have been raised concerning the strength of ocean currents.
It was suspected that these currents are prevalent on the Bermuda triangle but it seems such currents are found at different locations. Due to the isolation around the part area the ship had drifted made it difficult to spot earlier. If it had been on a normal stretch of coast it may have been discovered sooner.
